Premium Cycled Seeded/Seasoned Sponge Filters

Please allow 6-8 weeks for large orders as it takes this long to start true bacteria colonies in the sponges. Special shipping required. Limited number of each sponge cycled long term at a time. Requests for clean seeded sponges for projects can be requested in advance.

We season our sponges for 12-24 weeks for optimum seeding of bacteria colonies deep in the sponge pores. We can do longer per request. We use air driven pumps with sponges in clean storage tanks and use premium bacteria supplements to cycle our sponges. No live animals used. 

***Please use as a supplement to start a cycle or in an already established cycled tank. When using in new tank and adding fish or other right away in the aquarium, still use bacteria supplements to adjust the colony to the new tanks bio-load. Sponge media is only meant to start a healthy cycle in the tank.
